THE HÄRT SPACE workshops- Black Cat Printing

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to transform a simple image into a bold, graphic print using EVA foam—a versatile and accessible material perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Starting from a reference photo or drawing, you’ll trace and transfer the essential lines onto foam, carve out your shapes, and build a composition designed for printing.

You’ll then explore inking techniques using ink pads or sponges, and bring your design to life by printing it onto paper. The process is intuitive and experimental, encouraging you to play with color, layering, and repetition.

One of the most exciting aspects of this technique is its flexibility: you can clean your foam plates and reprint them multiple times, creating a series of unique variations simply by changing colors and arrangements. By the end of the session, you’ll have a collection of prints and the skills to continue experimenting on your own.
